Hello, Siloam Springs
Sager Creek | Downtown Siloam Springs, AR
The first time I drove into Siloam Springs was a crisp fall day in late October 2022. I’d never been there before, but I had a job interview I was excited about. Really, I hadn’t even heard of Siloam Springs until I saw the job posting online. A few weeks after applying, I got the call. At first I thought about doing a video interview, but no. I wanted to be there in person. So I cleared my schedule, did my homework, and got ready to explore this little town in Northwest Arkansas.
Surprisingly, there are a ton of videos about Siloam Springs online. I devoured every one I could because I really wanted that job, and I really wanted to call Northwest Arkansas home. I’d fallen in love with the area years before, when I visited my sister and saw the open farmland in Pea Ridge and the quaint downtown in Bentonville that felt straight out of a storybook. When my other sister moved here in 2021, I knew I’d be next. And here I am, three years later, calling Siloam Springs home along with my husband, kiddo, and two rescue cats.

That first drive into Siloam Springs in the fall of 2022? I was hooked. Downtown felt like a Hallmark movie with fall leaves, little shops, and diners practically begging me to walk in. The Kayak Park called for adventure, even though I’d never kayaked before. I knew I wanted to be part of this town. Two interviews later, a deposit on a duplex, and we were home.
Siloam Springs is a mix of old and new. Families who’ve been here for generations keep farms and businesses alive, while newcomers keep rolling in. Growth is happening, but the charm stays. It’s like stepping into Stars Hollow on a Saturday.
A weekday night might mean karaoke at Park House Kitchen + Bar. Lunch could be Fratelli’s pizza, pepperoni is my favorite, or fresh orange juice at AM Eats and Tea Treats. Shopping at Occasions is a must; the owner, LaNelle Clark, and her team will help you find the perfect outfit or gift. That’s the magic of small-town life. You know the people, you hear the stories, and it makes every visit feel personal.
And then there’s Sager Creek. It runs through downtown and beyond. I hear there’s an otter living there, though I’ve never seen him. Still, the creek is beautiful, historic, and quietly magical.

City Lake Park is my escape. Its forested bridge, streams, and greenery make me feel like I’m somewhere out of a movie. I go there when life feels too big, when I need to breathe. Bring a bike, bring the kids, bring yourself. It’s that kind of place.
Siloam Springs isn’t your typical small town. There’s downtown magic, adventures waiting to happen, festivals, music in the park, people ready to share a smile, and memories waiting to be made with friends and family.
Three years ago, I rolled into a town I didn’t know. Today, it’s home. Siloam Springs has a way of surprising you with its charm, its creek, its people, and the adventures around every corner.
With Among the Ozarks, I get to explore all the corners of this town and beyond, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Love,
Megan
